
As wildfires spread across the country this summer, I had an opportunity to interview a biologist about efforts to restore a charred forest in the Sierra Nevada Mountains destroyed by the infamous Tamarack Fire.
“The long-term goal is to establish the foundations for resilient forest growth in the future,” said Matthew Setty, co-owner of Nevada Environmental Consulting LLC. “We are trying to restart a healthy ecology after a fire.”
